"He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people's disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken." Isaiah 25:8. It is not by coincidence that the as typing this the first song that comes on is "Break Every Chain." God is telling us something. There is nothing that compares to the power and outstretched arms of our God. God is mighty and there is nothing above him. There is so much power in his name alone. There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain, banish any demon, heal any wound, and so much more. Anything you do in Jesus's name is one of the most powerful thing that we can. We say his name and we will get goosebumps. I read some where that this happens, because of the love that God radiates down to us and the fact that our body and mind is wired to react to his name due to his love. The same way we get when we see our mom or dad or someone we love. Our body and mind

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8. Let this verse be a constant reminder for us. Not only during this Easter weekend, but have it be a daily reminder. We are naturally born sinners, and we sin everyday. We sin even when we try not to sin, that is just the way we are. We go against God's word all the time. God could destroy us at any second, but he does not. He does not because he loves us. He loves us so much that he sent his one true son to this earth, Jesus. Jesus came here to be an example for us. He lived a life full of love and grace. Jesus was perfect, he is and was literally the only person ever to live without sin. He had never done wrong. Jesus was crucified. But it was not just an ordinary crucifixion, Jesus was sacrificed. He was sacrificed in order for our sins to be forgiven. This does not only show the love that Jesus showed towards us, but God as well. This was his one only

“The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Then a voice said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”” 1 Kings‬ ‭19:11-13‬ God sometimes talks to us in a whisper to bring us closer to him, literally bring us closer. Think about it, we have to lean into a whisper in order to hear it. Sometimes we are listening for a loud voice, we are listening and looking for something to big to happen. We are under the perception that since God is a great big ultimate God, every thing he does is big. In a sens

“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.” Romans 8:11. Jesus was put on the cross to be crucified. He was put there to be a sacrifice in order for our sins to be forgiven. Three days after he was laid down from the cross, he rose from the dead. Some people find this hard to believe. There is a great song by Da’ Truth where he says, “Who else can say I'm the only way to God; Whoever believes in me guarantee to never die; Give me eternal life (boss) yeah and if you believe he’s a prophet; You know that he can’t lie virgin birth right; And if you can believe that then why is it so hard to believe; That he beat death in order to save the whole world; He had to be”(Copycat). This was mainly to the Jewish believers and believers of other religious backgrounds. They believe all existed, some say he just a prophet, teacher, etc. They all

“just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28. As simple as it is, Jesus did not come to be served but to serve. He came to this world to be an example for us, he served everyone and anyone that came to him. In the end he performed the ultimate sacrifice and gave his life for us. He gave it in order for all our sins to be forgiven and in order for us to have an eternal life in heaven with him. Jesus never turned down a soul that asked for help with an open heart. This is something that I try to repeat on a daily basis, even if that person is not my favorite person at the moment. If someone needs help I will drop everything I am doing and help them, whether it be to sit there for hours and be a listening ear, or if they need the honest truth, or if they just need muscle help I will always try my best to spare my time for them. To close out the parable before this (The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard: v

LOVE GOD WITH EVERYTHING YOU GOT - Daily Devotional: 3/25/2018

“Jesus: replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38. I usually use YouVerison’s Verse of the Day, for these devotionals but I was moved to talk about this for today’s devotional. Love is a powerful thing. It can be used for so much good, but it can be also used for so much evil. Love for worldly things is what you have to be on the watch for. This kind of love can and will skew your mind and your heart in the wrong direction. It can pull you away from God. Worldly things include but are not limited to, money, attention, success, and even people. Confession time, I fell in love with a worldly thing and it pulled me away from God. None of us are perfect in any shape or form, but if we do not protect our heart or our mind we can fall more often than we should. For me one of my weaknesses is that I fall for people easily and I like being around and with people (even th

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8. This verse can connect to hundreds of verses. It can connect from the devotional from 3/22/2018 when the verse of the day was Psalm 91:1 and it stated that God was our shelter. It can also connect to another Psalm, one of my favorites 30:5, where it says “for his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” This is one the Psalms that gives me help in my darkest of times. There are times were you just have to lie down and go to sleep. You stress your body to the max where you feel like you just went through war. And in a sense you did. You were fighting the devil. He could have been filling your head with doubts, throwing curves at you, or putting people in your life that were trying to pull you away from God. But the good news is that if you made it out alive you won the battle and the war. You will always c

“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.” Romans 15:4. Everything, and I mean everything, in the Bible was written for us. From Genesis all the way to Revelations. Even the books of law in Exodus, Deuteronomy, and Leviticus. All that is written can be used to spread the word and love of Jesus. “ALL Scripture is god-breathed” (2 Tim. 3:16). It is used to teach, rebuke, correct, and train. It is “sharper than any double-edge sword” (Hebrews 4:12). It is alive and active. Everything that is written in the Bible no matter the time period is still relevant today. We age, but God doesn’t. That is why it is important to continually be in the Scripture. We have to continually read, study, and talk about it. We have to train in righteousness and be ready for the day when Jesus comes back. We are are in a constant battle with darkness, because we live in dar

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1. God is our rock. He is our savior. He is out shelter. We can go to him with anything and everything. He wants us to go to him. The word shelter is used in the Bible 24 times, the word rock is used 104. It has been a reoccurring theme throughout the Bible that God is our rock and our shelter. He is firm and is never close to destruction. He is able to take on all things and will take them on for us. God’s arm is not too short to save. He is able to save you from the deepest and darkest of pits. God is our light in the darkness. He keeps us safe during the roughest of times. He allows it to mold us to be the men and women he wants us to be. God is a loving Heavenly Father and will not allow too much harm to happen to us. He wants the best for us and he will do anything to protect us from eternal destruction. God wants eternal life for us. Lord, I pray that today you put a guiding and

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33. This world is a dark place, I said it before and this will not be the last time I put it in a devotional. It is, it was no God’s intentions when he created us and created this world that darkness will take over. But just like everything else God uses it for his advantage. He allows all the bad things that happen in this world and to us to show us his power. He uses it to bring us closer to him. He uses it to show he has something better for us not only not only on this earth, but in heaven. No matter what happens on this earth whether you are the richest person, whether you are the poorest person, if you are the happiest to the saddest, there is nothing compared to the treasures and everything we get in heaven. One of the things God did to show us that he is taking advantage of this dark world for his and our benefit was sending

“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.” Deuteronomy 7:9. If you we are going to be real, if you never doubted God at least once then you’re not human. We all have our faults and there are days were we just screaming to the heavens “if you’re real why is this happening?!” But just like everything else, God has a plan. Trust me God never left your side, and he will never leave your side. He was there during the breakup. He was there during your grandpa’s death. He was there as your mom sat there and suffered with cancer. He is here right next to you as you read this. God is an everlasting God. He did not create pain and suffering, but he for sure uses it to his full advantage. God help lead the Israelites out of Egypt and into the Promised Land, and these are people that grumbled against him and his authority constantly. They asked and cursed at him fo

Daily Devotional: 3/18/2018 WE ARE NOT ALONE

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12. James 1 is one of the best things to read in the Bible when you are going through tough times. I constantly remind myself of all the teaching that James told us in the chapter. We will go through trials it is a given, but the way you go about them is what will help you grow. God did not create evil, but he will use it to test us and to help us grow; one of the biggest examples being Job. We are so much stronger than we think, God will never put too much in front of us that we will not be able to handle. He is there next to us the entire time, he is our Spotter. 2018 has been a rough year for me so far and it is only 3 months in, everything I had last semester seems like it is falling apart in front of my eyes. There are days that I run away from God and shut myself out, and there are others were I run

“Whoever has my  commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” John 14:21. There is a difference between saying you believe in Jesus and showing you believe in Jesus. Jesus did not just go around saying he loved people, he showed it. The way we do things is the way people perceive us. It is better for people to see the light in you, then to see the dark in you. We are all natural born sinners do not get me wrong, but Jesus came and died for our sins in order for our sins to be forgiven. If we walk around following the commands that God laid out for us and show that we are, God will be please with us and he will know that we love him. Today just think about how your outer self acts. Think about how people may perceive you. Ask people. Reevaluate you’re the music you listen to, the way you speak, your body language. Show someone that you’re a light. #LetsBeAMovement

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the end of the earth. He will not grow tire or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.” Isaiah 40:28. “God is an everlasting God,” boom end of devotional. Really, but not really. God was there from the very beginning, numbers can fathom how long he’s been around. The earth is 4.543 billion years old, God has been around longer than that. He does not get tired, he is constantly up and hearing us. He hears all our prayers, no matter how early or how late we pray it. God sees and feels no time. Sit there, imagine combining the knowledge of everyone in the world and double it. Yup, still not as close to the knowledge of God.  He knows more than we know or can even imagine knowing. It’s just amazing to think about how much God knows. He knows everything before it happens. He knows what we are going to pray before it is even a thought in our head. And he already knows how and when he is going to a

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23. The fruit of the Spirit is all things that we should be. Jesus came into this earth in order for us to be saved from eternal death and also to be an example for us. Jesus never turned a blind eye. He embraced everyone with open arms. You have to work hard everyday to strengthen ourselves in these categories. We have be able to portray these characteristics in order to bear good fruit. We have to love one another, even our enemies. We gain joy by believing in Jesus and following his teachings. There is everlasting joy just knowing he has our back even during the tough times. We have to bring peace to this world that is full of hate and evil. There is constant war and battle, we have to be that loving, peaceful hand in the toughest of situations. We have to be faithful. Faith is a strong attribute as a fo

“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.” John 1:9. In the previous eight verses of this chapter before this verse it talks about how Jesus is the Word; also it talked about John. John was sent by God to testify about the light, but he was not the light (v 7-8). Jesus was and is that light. Jesus came into this world, in order to live as an example for us. Jesus brought light into the world that was so dark. He was the anomaly of the age. There was no one he would turn a cold shoulder to if they asked for help. He helped all people if they came to him. This is one of the things we should today. We are called to be the light in this world (Mt. 5:14). This is what I pray and dream this to become. I pray that we will reach millions and spread the light of Jesus. Continually be a difference maker and help others, make people smile, be the anomaly, pray for your enemies. #LetsBeAMovement

“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” Colossians 3:16. The other day someone shared a picture with me saying “Just thinking… If a blind person hears me, could they tell I was a Christian? If a deaf person sees me, could they see Christ living thru me?” This is so powerful. It is one thing to believe in Christ, but it is another to live like him and to portray him in everything you do. I have been told that Christians have a certain persona about them. People say Christians are “hypocritical and judgmental.” But the one you hear more often then not, the one I heard someone say at a Bible Talk, is “Christians have that certain energy about them, they light up a room. They make you feel loved. They are always nice. They are about to make you feel welcomed no matter where you go. They make me want to stay around and talk to peo

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in your lives in him, rooted and built up in him strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7. We have to be able to let our roots grow. Jesus taught us several times that we have to have a strong foundation (Mt. 7:24-27) and strong roots (Mt. 13:1-23). Jesus is not a one time thing, we cannot go “I believe He is my Lord and Savior” and just walk away. That is not what we are called to do. We are called to be disciples and to preach the Word of God. We are called to love everyone like Jesus did. Jesus did not care who you were or what your past was, he accepted everyone because we are all made in the image of God. We all are natural born sinners, but Jesus died in order for our sins to be forgiven. God’s arm is not too short to save anyone (Isa. 59:1), He has the ability to save everyone. There are people out there with roots, but they are short and weak. They c

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2. We have to trust in the Lord in all that we do. God has a plan for us. We have to follow that plan, the only way to do that is believe in him and use his Word. We have to allow the Word to be the light to our path. The world is a dark dark place, but you cannot conform to it. You have to be the light in the dark world. We have to continue to preach and spread the Gospel and Love of Christ, even when the devil continues to fight us. Jesus is always on our side. The fight is already over, Jesus already has won the fight. Do something different then everyone else and be the light. #LetsBeAMovement.

“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”” Acts 20:35 .  We all have certain gifts. Some people are blessed with more than others. Jesus came to this Earth to give and show love and in the end he showed us the ultimate sign of love in giving up his life in order for us to be forgiven of our sins. Jesus never shyed away from helping a "lost cause" or someone in need. Use that as an example to go through the day and help someone even if they don't ask.  #LetsBeAMovement

Matthew 28:19

This is a community of brothers and sister of many different backgrounds, from all around the world (NY, CA, FL, NM, TX, PA, NJ, MA, Puerto Rico, and Germany) here to do Jesus's work: spreading the Gospel through love. We may not all have the outward voice as Jesus and Peter, but we all blessed with knowledge and gifts to spread the Word in our own way. The Bible sees no color, it does not discriminate. We strive to reflect the image of Jesus in all we do. We are open to answer questions, pray, and spread the Word. Let's start a movement!
