“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.” Romans 15:4.

Everything, and I mean everything, in the Bible was written for us. From Genesis all the way to Revelations. Even the books of law in Exodus, Deuteronomy, and Leviticus. All that is written can be used to spread the word and love of Jesus. “ALL Scripture is god-breathed” (2 Tim. 3:16). It is used to teach, rebuke, correct, and train. It is “sharper than any double-edge sword” (Hebrews 4:12). It is alive and active. Everything that is written in the Bible no matter the time period is still relevant today. We age, but God doesn’t. That is why it is important to continually be in the Scripture. We have to continually read, study, and talk about it. We have to train in righteousness and be ready for the day when Jesus comes back. We are are in a constant battle with darkness, because we live in darkness. The earth is darkness, but we have light. We have the more powerful weapons, the stronger ammunition. That is Jesus and is Word. Be encouraged and have hope. Continue to read the Scriptures, this will give you more ammunition and stronger armor. You will be ready when the devil starts a battle with you. Remember, the devil hits hard but Jesus hits harder.

Lord, I pray that you continue to be the driving force in our life. We live in the world of darkness, and we cannot leave. But we have the most powerful weapon in the world in you and your light. Allow your light to shine bright in our life. Allow to shine both internally and externally. Allow your word to continue to help us grow so we be well equipped in times of battle. Allow us to to be equipped for not only ourselves, but also our hearers. Allow your word to be the light to our path. Thank you for all you do, you are the ultimate weapon. The ultimate sign of love. You are our salvation. Save us from the world.
