“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in your lives in him, rooted and built up in him strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7.

We have to be able to let our roots grow. Jesus taught us several times that we have to have a strong foundation (Mt. 7:24-27) and strong roots (Mt. 13:1-23). Jesus is not a one time thing, we cannot go “I believe He is my Lord and Savior” and just walk away. That is not what we are called to do. We are called to be disciples and to preach the Word of God. We are called to love everyone like Jesus did. Jesus did not care who you were or what your past was, he accepted everyone because we are all made in the image of God. We all are natural born sinners, but Jesus died in order for our sins to be forgiven. God’s arm is not too short to save anyone (Isa. 59:1), He has the ability to save everyone. There are people out there with roots, but they are short and weak. They can be ripped out of the ground with the softest of winds. There are people with long and strong roots, their roots reach out to the water and continually get the nutrition of the soil and are continually drinking from the ocean of Christ. The way you become strong rooted is by living in the Word and living the Word. You have to not only accept Jesus, but you have to live like him and finish the mission of bringing the Word to everyone that hears and sees. There is a difference between saying and doing. Be the light in someone’s day, show them how strong your roots are. Continually build the strength in your roots by drinking the Word of God. Be the a difference maker. #LetsBeAMovement
