“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1.

God is our rock. He is our savior. He is out shelter. We can go to him with anything and everything. He wants us to go to him. The word shelter is used in the Bible 24 times, the word rock is used 104. It has been a reoccurring theme throughout the Bible that God is our rock and our shelter. He is firm and is never close to destruction. He is able to take on all things and will take them on for us. God’s arm is not too short to save. He is able to save you from the deepest and darkest of pits. God is our light in the darkness. He keeps us safe during the roughest of times. He allows it to mold us to be the men and women he wants us to be. God is a loving Heavenly Father and will not allow too much harm to happen to us. He wants the best for us and he will do anything to protect us from eternal destruction. God wants eternal life for us.

Lord, I pray that today you put a guiding and loving hand over everyone. Guide them, be their shelter. Be their light in the darkness. Allow us to be a home on your rock. Allow us to grow close to you. Bring us in close as our earthy father would to console us. Be here for us in the hardest of times, but allow us to remember you in the easiest of times.
