We have to be able to let our roots grow. Jesus taught us several times that we have to have a strong foundation (Mt. 7:24-27) and strong roots (Mt. 13:1-23). This world is a dark place, I said it before and this will not be the last time I put it in a devotional. It is, it was no God’s intentions when he created us and created this world that darkness will take over. But just like everything else God uses it for his advantage. He allows all the bad things that happen in this world and to us to show us his power. He uses it to bring us closer to him. He uses it to show he has something better for us not only not only on this earth, but in heaven.
