Daily Devotional: 3/14/2018

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23.

The fruit of the Spirit is all things that we should be. Jesus came into this earth in order for us to be saved from eternal death and also to be an example for us. Jesus never turned a blind eye. He embraced everyone with open arms. You have to work hard everyday to strengthen ourselves in these categories. We have be able to portray these characteristics in order to bear good fruit. We have to love one another, even our enemies. We gain joy by believing in Jesus and following his teachings. There is everlasting joy just knowing he has our back even during the tough times. We have to bring peace to this world that is full of hate and evil. There is constant war and battle, we have to be that loving, peaceful hand in the toughest of situations. We have to be faithful. Faith is a strong attribute as a follower of Jesus. We will face countless of tests and obstacles. If we have faith and trust in God we will know they are only temporary and Jesus will guide us through it. We have to have self-control and be gentle. When we face people who do not believe, we will have to know they might reject us and that they may fight us in everything we try to do with they and in everything we believe. We have to go into every situation with open arms and an open mind. Jesus did this and we have to do this, too. Use Jesus as the example to live life. #LetsBeAMovement

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33. This world is a dark place, I said it before and this will not be the last time I put it in a devotional. It is, it was no God’s intentions when he created us and created this world that darkness will take over. But just like everything else God uses it for his advantage. He allows all the bad things that happen in this world and to us to show us his power. He uses it to bring us closer to him. He uses it to show he has something better for us not only not only on this earth, but in heaven. No matter what happens on this earth whether you are the richest person, whether you are the poorest person, if you are the happiest to the saddest, there is nothing compared to the treasures and everything we get in heaven.
