“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.” Romans 8:11.

Jesus was put on the cross to be crucified. He was put there to be a sacrifice in order for our sins to be forgiven. Three days after he was laid down from the cross, he rose from the dead. Some people find this hard to believe. There is a great song by Da’ Truth where he says, “Who else can say I'm the only way to God; Whoever believes in me guarantee to never die; Give me eternal life (boss) yeah and if you believe he’s a prophet; You know that he can’t lie virgin birth right; And if you can believe that then why is it so hard to believe; That he beat death in order to save the whole world; He had to be”(Copycat). This was mainly to the Jewish believers and believers of other religious backgrounds. They believe all existed, some say he just a prophet, teacher, etc. They all give him a nod (Da’ Truth talks about it in this song, too). He is saying that if you believe he existed, specially as a prophet and he predicted all these things, as a prophet you are not suppose to lie or you are going against all of what a prophet is, then you should believe that what he predicted came true. Since what he predicted was about himself. If you have the Spirit in your body there is no we cannot do. Obviously we have our limitations, like if we jump off the end of the cliff and believe that you will make out alive, there is a god chance you are wrong. Jesus quoted it himself, “Do not put the Lord your God to the test” (Matthew 4:7 - Deuteronomy 6:16). The Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in us, it gives us so much power. It gives us the courage to talk to people. It gives us the knowledge to get through the most difficult of situation and the ability to get through the most difficult of times. It gives us the love for people, even the worst of them. It gives us the ability to forgive people, even the ones who wrongly us badly. The Spirit is power. It is just amazing what you can do when the Spirit recedes in you. Just look at all the people in the Bible that the Spirit was so strong in; just to name a few: Abraham, Issac, Joesph, David, Paul, Peter, Moses, Elijah, Isaiah, John the Baptist; and that is only a handful. Women, do not get discouraged there were so many women in the Bible that was guided and proclaimed by the Spirit: Mary, Ruth, Esther, Mary Magdalene, Martha, and countless more. Just read Romans 16 where Paul himself gave so many women shoutouts for all the work they did for Paul and for Jesus. Every single man and woman risked their life, was guided by the Spirit and were believers. They were so influential for their time, and for our’s as well. Use what they did as an example of how to be guided and live in the Spirit.

Today step out of your comfort zone and be guided by the Spirit. Preach the word with someone new, check up on someone, ask yourself questions, ask your pastor questions, ask God questions. Ask questions that is how we grow in life and in the Spirit. If we do not ask questions how else are we going to learn. If you are being moved by the Spirit follow it, it will lead you to amazing places.

Lord, I pray and thank you for all you do. Thank you for sending your son down to this world in order to be sacrificed for our sins. Thank you for the Spirit that recedes in all of us. I pray that we are able to here the Spirit’s voice and wisdom. That we are able to follow and obey it. That is will guide us to glory of your name. Allow your will to be done. You are truly an amazing God. Allow us to step out of our comfort zones and reach so many.
