"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20.

This was verse I needed today. Today was off to a rough start, and I really needed to sit down and do this devotional and read the scripture. God's Word always has a funny way of comforting you at the right times and cutting your soul at the same time. Like I said before, and a friend always says, "Coincidences are just God's way of staying anonymous." We cannot be reminded enough of the amount of love that Jesus has for us. We cannot be reminded enough the pain and agony he went through in order for us to have an eternal life in heaven and for our sins to be forgiven. Jesus died in order for our troubles to be nonexistent. He died in order for us to cast all our anxiety and problems on him and for us to live a righteous life. In order for us to live this life we have to love and believe in Jesus, and we also have to die ourselves. This is not physical death, but a spiritual death. We have to kill our old worldly-self in order for us to be born into a godly-self. Jesus said, "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at me saying, 'You must be born again,'" (John 3: 5-7). Paul also goes on to say in Romans, "Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptizing into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we to may live a new life," (Romans 6:3-4). Once we are baptized by water, we are born again through the Spirit. Once we do this we accept Jesus into our life and allow him to take full control of it. Christ now lives in us in order for us to be forgiven of our sins and allows us to have an eternal life in heaven. Once we kill our old self, we no longer live; it is Jesus who lives in us. He guides are life and we follow it. Everything we do no longer belongs to us. We are now guided by faith and love. This is a continuous and unconditional love that comes from the death of Jesus Christ. And if you do not feel his love or believe in his love just remember God sent his one and only true son to us in order for him to live as an example and to be the sacrificial lamb in order for our sins to be forgiven. God could have sent anyone, or even simply destroyed us all and started over, but he sent his one and only true son. Live by faith and love. Jesus did, and he gave himself up for us in order for us to.

Lord our glorious God, thank you. Thank you for all the sacrifices you make for us. Thank you for the continuous unconditional love that you give us even though we do not deserve it. Thank you for all you do. I pray you continue to guide us on this path and allow us to glorify you in all that we do. In your son's glorious awesome amazing name I pray this, Amen.
