Daily Devotional: 5/13/2018 - HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Proverbs 31:30

Mothers, they are the definition of cannot live with them, but cannot live without them. Mothers are some very special creatures. They are majestic, but scary. They are amazing, loving, strong, happy, selfless, and graceful. Mom are the closest thing to a real life superhero. You will never catch anyone juggle cooking, cleaning, working, and taking care of her kids the same way a mother can. They say that the hardest job on the earth is a stay at home mom, and anyone that knows one can agree with that. I once saw a quote that said, "A mother is someone who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take." Mothers are very special and unique, it takes a special talent and a special set of patientence to be a mother. They are beyond selfless and unconditionally love us. They are the perfect example of the way Jesus lived. They are the same in the way of how they were selfless and love us unconditionally. No matter what we do our mothers will always love us. We can run around the house, break things, and fight with our siblings, but our mothers will still love us. We lie, we yell, we curse, and we hurt our mothers, but they still love us. They are beyond selfless. A mother gives up time and money for us. My mother goes to every single baseball and soccer game of mine and my sister's that she can. She will call out of work, leave early, whatever she has to do. She tries her best to be at all of them. Mothers will stay up all night cooking for the next day. My mother will slave over the oven and stove cooking for Christmas Eve and Christmas. She will not sleep. She makes sure all the decorations are perfect, that we have gifts under the tree and in our stockings, and she makes sure there is food on the table. Every mother's favorite quote is, "I brought you in this world and I can take you right out." And boy is it true, but all at the same time she would not dare. Mothers love us no matter what. They are the first person to hold us when we cry. She will wipe away every tear. She will bandage every wound. She will pack every lunch. She will be there for every breakup. She will be with us no matter what. Thank your mom everyday, not just today. She is a blessing.

Lord, thank you for all you do. Thank you for all the strong, amazing, beautiful women that you have put on this earth. Thank you for all the mothers out there. I pray and thank you for the love they show, the passion they show, the wisdom they share, and for everything they do for us. I pray and thank you for all the fathers who are mothers to motherless children, and all the women that do not have kids that are mentors and mother figures to the motherless. I pray you bless every single women out there, bless the moms, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and everyone in between. Keep them strong in their time of need and continue to show your unconditional love to them, that they show us. I pray this is Jesus name, Amen.
