“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8. This verse can connect to hundreds of verses. It can connect from the devotional from 3/22/2018 when the verse of the day was Psalm 91:1 and it stated that God was our shelter. It can also connect to another Psalm, one of my favorites 30:5, where it says “for his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” This is one the Psalms that gives me help in my darkest of times. There are times were you just have to lie down and go to sleep. You stress your body to the max where you feel like you just went through war. And in a sense you did. You were fighting the devil. He could have been filling your head with doubts, throwing curves at you, or putting people in your life that were trying to pull you away from God.
