"Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us." 1 John 4:11-12

Everyday is an example of how much God loves us. We get to wake up every morning; no matter where you live, what you see when you look outside your window, how much the total income of your house is, you are blessed beyond belief. We experience the miracle of life daily with us and other living creatures living beside us (trees, birds, creatures, bugs, grass - the beautiful things of how everything works). We get a daily reminder through life life that Jesus died for us, he was the ultimate sacrifice. He died in order for us to live in his life and his presence. Before we were destined for eternal death but we serve the sacrificial lamb that has died in order to forgive our sins. This not only shows love, but vulnerability. There is no such love that matches up to this. We have to follow and live by this example. We are commanded to love one another. Matthew 22:39 says, “And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” This is one of the greatest commandment that God has given us to follow. We have to show and reflect his love and image everyday. Another daily reminder we get from God is his Word. We get to constantly hear and read the most beautifully written love letter ever to be written. The best part it is a love letter written directly to us, his people. He tells and shows us who we are, what we should do, what we should not do and throughout this love letter he constantly reminds us how much he loves us and how much he is there for us. We are his image bearer not only through looks but in the Spirit. When we accept that he is Lord, we accept him his love and are filled with his Spirit. We are called to spread this love and his Spirit. We have to allow the burning bush in us to flourish. We have to be like a wildfire. Even though no one has seen Go, they have to seen him through us. We have to reflect his perfect image. No matter if you are with a believer or not you have to to show them love. And you never know it might be that simple expression of love and/or reflecting Jesus’s image might be the thing that drives them to Christ. People tend to be intrigued to the different, they wonder why you are different. They want to know why you love so easily and what the Spark in your life is. They want to feel the Spirit too. Especially if you are a changed person, the people that knew the old you, the old dead to earth you. The light and attitude of Jesus speak volumes to all ear, even to the “deaf”. The voice of Jesus has literally risen people from the dead and has even risen us from the dead. He speaks constantly in our heart and our mind. With God we are complete, without him we are empty. He fill us up with all of him through his love, grace, mercy, and peace. We are called to go to him. There is a reason why when we are down and upset we fill empty, it is so God can fill us with him; his love, grace, peace, and mercy is the reason why we have life. John 20:29 says, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. We have to empty the earthly desires and darkness from and we have to be one in Christ and be filled with his love. Even if you do not see, we have to show and be the example.

Lord, thank you for all you do. Thank you for you love, peace, mercy, and grace. Thank you for everything you do for us. You truly are the perfect example to live by and we do not deserve anything you give us. Allow us to empty ourselves of everything that does not reflect you, allow us to not worry, allow us not to be sad, allow us not to doubt. I pray that with our emptiness that you fill us up with you, with your love, with your peace, with your grace, and with your mercy. Allow us to be the image-bearer you want us to be. I pray all this in your son’s name, Amen.
