Services: Thrive with Jesus: Living Water (John 7)
Point 1: Listen to Jesus
v37a
-Jesus cries out to us - speaks through everything and anyone - have to listen - have to respond 
-so many voices in your our life- past, present and future - not not all bad 
-so many that they drown out and don't recognize His voice - that is when it is bad 
-way to get back - tune out the voices - pray/read - sit in silence - focus on Jesus
-have to focus on the ones that are connected with Jesus - hear who Jesus is speaking through - the Spiritually connected 
Point 2: Following Jesus 
v37b-38
-the response
-anyone who has a deep longing for Jesus this who it's for - at this festival there is everyone - even Gentiles were invited 
-Psalm 42:1-2
-have to believe - the belief that you put/trust your entire life in Jesus - really make him LORD- not part of your life but ENTIRE life
-Scriptures talk of this - spiritual thriving
-Isaiah 12:1-3; 58:9-11
-we thirst - but we have to be careful what we drink - have to drink the spiritual water of Jesus - the only thing 
-Jeremiah 2:12-13 - drinking from the wrong water - makes us sick 
Point 3: Walk In the Spirit
v39
-OT: Samson, Gideon, David, Saul
-Spirit dwells within us - defeat our troubles- guides us
-have to be able to listen - when we do we are able to wall smoothly w/o "thinking"
-let the spirit of God led you
-Galatians 5:16,25, Romans 8:11
-no better time than now

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33. This world is a dark place, I said it before and this will not be the last time I put it in a devotional. It is, it was no God’s intentions when he created us and created this world that darkness will take over. But just like everything else God uses it for his advantage. He allows all the bad things that happen in this world and to us to show us his power. He uses it to bring us closer to him. He uses it to show he has something better for us not only not only on this earth, but in heaven. No matter what happens on this earth whether you are the richest person, whether you are the poorest person, if you are the happiest to the saddest, there is nothing compared to the treasures and everything we get in heaven.
