Service: The Spirit and Sacrifice of Giving (Luke 21) 
-Give with the right spirit and give sacrificficily 
-v.1-4 
-this woman give all she had - two small pennies = 1/4 of a penny 
-she gave from the heart -what Jesus wants  
Point: Give with the right spirit 
-Mt. 6:3-4 - give not for prosperity but give all the time as a habit where it is second nature - make it natural  
-doesn't have to be just money - can be time and support  
-problem: giving without intention, it's not a forethought  
-Got to give like God would - wholeheartedly 
-not as an after thought  
-but be wise - don't be radical be smart  
-don't go all in if you can't - don't go all in and expect a "payout" 
-be sacrificial - give freely 
"He is an unfeeling man if don't feel humiliated when you read the story of the poor widow and don't reexamine yourself" - it's not meant to bring you down but to check yourself

He embraced everyone with open arms. You have to work hard everyday to strengthen ourselves in these categories. We have be able to portray these characteristics in order to bear good fruit. We have to love one another, even our enemies. We gain joy by believing in Jesus and following his teachings. There is everlasting joy just knowing he has our back even during the tough times. “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.” Romans 15:4. Everything, and I mean everything, in the Bible was written for us. From Genesis all the way to Revelations. Even the books of law in Exodus, Deuteronomy, and Leviticus. All that is written can be used to spread the word and love of Jesus. “ALL Scripture is god-breathed” (2 Tim. 3:16). It is used to teach, rebuke, correct, and train.It is “sharper than any double-edge sword” (Hebrews 4:12). It is alive and active. Everything that is written in the Bible no matter the time period is still relevant today. We age, but God doesn’t. That is why it is important to continually be in the Scripture. We first looked at the story in the Bible, now we look at a song that is inspired by the story. Trip Lee is the man. A man with many talents and many titles; he is a pastor, blogger ( http://builttobrag.com/ ), writer, rapper, and father.
