"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." 2 Corinthians 3:17

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). Our God is an all powerful God. Our God is God that is 3-in-1. We have God, we have Jesus, and we have the Holy Spirit. For some that is confusing, but to others that is comforting. A good book to read and kind of getting an understanding of it all is the fiction novel The Shack written by William P. Young. The book talks about and depicts how our God is 3-in-1. God caters to us and our needs. In the book, God was a southern black woman (because the character needed a mother figure), and Jesus was a built middle eastern middle aged man, and the Holy Spirit was an older wise Asian woman. Every time the character talked to one of them the other two knew exactly what they were doing and saying to each other because they are the same. And each time the other two, would allow the character to talk to them about what he talked to the one about, to make him comfortable. This is our God. He is a loving and caring God, who is full of mercy. John 1:1, can be a verse that will have new readers's head spin in confusion. But the simple break down of it is the same as 2 Cor. 3:17. The simply put is Jesus (or God). Before anything happen God knew what he was going to do, he knew that he was going to have to send his one and true son, Jesus, down to the earth. Jesus was and is always at the right hand of the Father. But at the same time, Jesus was God. Jesus is the only person ever to be perfect, he is the only one to never sin, the only one to never cause anyone harm. He is the one true son of God, he is God. He is our Lord and Savior. Now to the verse of the day, the Lord is a Spirit figure. He is no longer a solid figure on this planet, and the next time he comes down in a solid figure it will be an end of time. God is always with us. He is always in our ear. He is with us when we do good, he is with us when we do bad. God shows himself in funny ways, but he is always with us, he will never forsake us. Where ever you are God is. And with that presence of God you have his loving peace and the loving freedom. One of my bestfriends in the entire world is still with us, because of God. They at one point were in a very dark place and tried to end it all, but God woke them up (and they knew it was God). So no matter how deep you are God is always with you and helping you through it all. He is always with you, even when you do not physically feel his presence. Through the ups and downs, he is right by your side making sure it doesn't get too far, because he will never tempt is with more than we can handle.

Lord, thank you. Thank you for breath. Thank you for your presence. Thank you for your word. Thank you for the freedom and contious mercy. We are not worthy of any of it. Thank you for helping me continually defeat my demons and thank you so much for keep my bestfriend alive.
