“‘He himself bore our sins’ in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; ‘by his wounds you have been healed.’” 1 Peter 2:24

Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice for us. Before Jesus, the Israelites had the Passover, they would sacrifice the lamb for forgiveness of their sins. Jesus was the sacrificial lamb for our sins, we no longer have to go up and sacrifice animals and fruits to God, because Jesus was that sacrifice. No matter how down you are, or how much you have sinned in your past Jesus died for you and he loves you. He is always there for us. We have all sinned, and we will all continue to sin; it is just the way that you go at it after you sin. If you feel remorse, know you sin and repent your sin you are forgiven. We all have a past, we all have scars, and we all have wounds. Jesus was the ultimate healer for those wounds and those scars. It’s not to say that we should forget about those scars and wounds, because they help shape us to be the people we are now, but those scars and wounds are in the past. They were healed, when Jesus died on the cross. Now when you look at those scars and those wounds you can say to yourself, “I have overcame that, that is in the past and Jesus healed these for me.” Jesus died for us, and in order for us to live for him. He died in order for us to live in righteousness, and spread his word. Jesus was the perfect example to live like. Jesus lived with grace and mercy. He showed love and passion in everything he did. The way we repay him back, is to spread his word and live like him the best way we can. Whether you are a believer or not, whether you are a constant sinner or not, whether you sinned your heart out last night or you were in your room studying the Bible; Jesus died for you and he loves you. So do not be down in the dumps and live with Jesus, he is right next to you as you read this.

Lord, thank you for all you do. We are not worthy of your love, not worthy of you breath, not worthy of your grace and mercy. You do so much for us and we continue to sin and fall short of your grace. We are natural born sinners and we will continue to sin, but you continue to love us.  No matter what you are with us and are always by our side. Thank you for sending your one and only true son to die for our sins and be the example for us live. I pray that you continue to be with us as we walk on this path. I pray that your word continues to be the light for our path. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
