Daily Devotional: 4/12/2018

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” Psalm 94:19.

God helps through our biggest and hardest of obstacles. Anxiety is something I have to fight on a daily basis. The thing is that God will take it on for us. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is 1 Peter 5:7. It says “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” God takes on everything for us. He was willing to send his one true and only son to the earth to suffer from the same things that we suffer from. Jesus dealt with the same temptations that we do. But the difference is that Jesus was able to conquer them (Mt. 4). Jesus was perfect in all he does and did. With God we are able to do anything (Philippians 4:13). God is with us everyday. He never forsakes us. God promised that he will never gives us anything more than we can handle (1 Cor. 10:13). Through anxiety and all our troubles, God will use it for our advantage. He will use it to help us grow to be the men and women he wants us to be. God will help us grow in him. He will give us joy and will take the pressure off our shoulders to get through it all. God is with you right now, no matter what you are going through.

Lord, thank you. Thank you for taking everything on for us. Thank you for taking on all our anxiety. Thank you for giving us the strength to get through it with you. All things are possible with you, we cannot do it alone. We need you in everything we do. You truly are an amazing God and I cannot thank you enough for all you do. We do no deserve you. I pray all this in your son’s glorious awesome name, Amen.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33. This world is a dark place, I said it before and this will not be the last time I put it in a devotional. It is, it was no God’s intentions when he created us and created this world that darkness will take over. But just like everything else God uses it for his advantage. He allows all the bad things that happen in this world and to us to show us his power. He uses it to bring us closer to him. He uses it to show he has something better for us not only not only on this earth, but in heaven.
